Id like to make an appoingtment with Mr.Hammer.
Could I see Mr.Hammer sometime this week?
Either on Wednesday or Thursday.(星期三或星期四都可以)。
Would it be possible to see Mr.Hammer tomorrow? Does Mr.Hammer have time to meet with me tomorrow? If he does have time, may I meet him tomorrow?
What time is convenient for him? 也可以說(shuō) What time is he available?(他什么時(shí)候有空?),但用 convenient 會(huì)給人比較客氣的感覺(jué)。
Id like to have lunch with him tomorrow.
If you have time, Id like to meet with you today.
Could you spare me about half an hour?
Could we get together at L.A.Restaurant?
I was wondering if we could arrange a meeting to discuss the new product.
I was wondering if…… Would it be possible to meet and discuss the new product?。
Im calling about what we discussed the other day.
Ive been waiting for your call.(我一直在等您的電話里),并接著說(shuō)Lets get together. When can we meet to talk?(我們來(lái)聚一聚。
What would you like to talk to me about?
Can l ask you what you want to discuss?。
Sure.
I dont think we have to meet on this subject.
Its probably not necessary to meet.(沒(méi)有必要見(jiàn)面)來(lái)加以謝絕。
Im afraid I cant, but Mr.Brown will meet you instead.
句首用 Im afraid I cant…… Im too busy to meet you.,說(shuō)不定會(huì)給對(duì)方帶來(lái)受輕視的感覺(jué)。
May I arrange the time and the place, please?
Do you mind if I set the time and location for our meeting?
When do you have free time?
也可以用 When are you available?
Im free at three oclock today.
Im available at three oclock.如果是[3點(diǎn)到4點(diǎn)有空]的話,就用availbale from three o clock until four 即可。

Mary: Mr. Matheson, Ive studied all your reports, and your company is making excellent progress.

Len: Thank you, Miss Carlyle. And please, call me Len. So, what are your recommendations for my new organizational structure?
Mary: Call me Mary. First, lets start with your operation here. You should set up separate Administrative,Clerical, Back office, and Support functions. Theres too much work for your personnel to wear more than one hat any more.

Len: What about personnel there?
Len:
Mary: Youll need the same basic functionality as here, on a reduced scale. Product Development is only needed at HQ for now. Your regional head can manage all functions there initially, but will probably need an assistant, also. And thats it!
