　　危如累卵 (wēi rú lěi luǎn)

　　春秋時(shí)，晉靈公為了享樂(lè)，不惜花費(fèi)大量人力物力，要建造一座九層的高臺(tái)。由于建了三年還沒(méi)建好，弄得民窮財(cái)盡，百姓都很不滿。他怕大臣前來(lái)勸諫，便下令說(shuō)﹕「如果誰(shuí)敢來(lái)勸諫我，一律處斬!」大臣們都很害怕，不知如何是好。

　　大臣荀息為了挽救國(guó)家，不顧安危前來(lái)求見(jiàn)。晉靈公認(rèn)為荀息一定是來(lái)勸諫，就命衛(wèi)士拈弓搭箭，只要他開(kāi)口規(guī)勸，便立即射死他。荀息拜見(jiàn)靈公后，若無(wú)其事地說(shuō) ﹕「我今天只是來(lái)給您表演一個(gè)小小的絕技。我能把十二個(gè)棋子迭起來(lái)，再把九個(gè)雞蛋一個(gè)個(gè)加上去而不會(huì)倒下來(lái)�！轨`公覺(jué)得有趣，消除了戒心，便讓他表演。荀 息把棋子堆起來(lái)，再把雞蛋一個(gè)個(gè)迭上去。靈公在一旁看得提心吊膽，緊張得連聲喊道﹕「危險(xiǎn)啊!危險(xiǎn)啊!」

　　荀息卻不慌不忙地說(shuō)﹕「這怎算危險(xiǎn)，還有比這更危險(xiǎn)的.呢!」靈公連忙問(wèn)：「還有更危險(xiǎn)的?快讓我看看!」荀息說(shuō)﹕「大王，您建的九層高臺(tái)建了三年還沒(méi)建 好，就已弄得國(guó)內(nèi)男人無(wú)法耕田，女人無(wú)法織布，國(guó)庫(kù)空虛，百姓叫苦連天了。現(xiàn)在鄰國(guó)正準(zhǔn)備入侵，我們國(guó)家已危在旦夕，這不是更危險(xiǎn)嗎?」靈公聽(tīng)了這番話， 猛然醒悟，立刻下令說(shuō)：「馬上停建九層高臺(tái)!」
