Choice anxiety is induced by the need to choose between similar options and is increasingly being recognized as a problem for individuals.
當你面臨太多相似的選擇,無法決定的時候產生的焦慮感就叫“選擇焦慮(choice anxiety)”,現(xiàn)在越來越多的人有這種困擾,“選擇焦慮癥”也越來越受到人們的重視。
Research on consumerism shows that shoppers experience increased anxiety when asked to choose from a greater number of similar products. In this case, a reduction of choices reduces anxiety and eases decision-making.
消費主義研究顯示,面對的相似產品選擇越多,購物者的選擇焦慮就越嚴重。在這種情況下,減少現(xiàn)有選擇的數(shù)量能夠減輕焦慮并有助于購物者做決定。
For example:
I suffer from a terrible choice anxiety, even when I'm having a fanatastic time, because there is always something else I'm missing out on. Life was so much easier when there were fewer options.
我患有嚴重的選擇焦慮癥,即使我玩得很開心的時候,我也覺得煩躁,因為總有一些我錯失了的東西。我想如果沒有這么多選擇的話,我的生活會輕松得多。
