　　the easter bunny is not a modern invention. the symbol originated with the pagan festival of eastre. the goddess, eastre, was worshipped by the anglo-saxons through her earthly symbol, the rabbit.

　　the germans brought the symbol of the easter rabbit to america. it was widely ignored by other christians until shortly after the civil war. in fact, easter itself was not widely celebrated in america until after that time.

　　而德國人將復活兔帶到了美國。直至美國南北戰(zhàn)爭后，復活兔才被大多數(shù)基督教人士所重視。事實上，在這次內戰(zhàn)結束后，復活節(jié)也未在美國被人們廣泛地慶祝。
